HOUSTON, TX – According to ABC 13, two crashes left a woman hurt and a man dead on Interstate 610 near Beechnut Street on April 16.

A woman was driving south on Interstate 610 when she slammed into a wall around 5 a.m.

First responders transported the woman to an area hospital with serious injuries.

As officers investigated the crash, another collision occurred in the northbound lanes.

Two drivers hit a 30-year-old unhoused man as he was crawling across the interstate on his hands and knees.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The two drivers who struck the victim remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with authorities. Investigators do not believe they were impaired.

Crews had the interstate reopened around 8 a.m.
